In Memory of Charles "Chuck" Raso

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Charles “Chuck” Raso, principal officer of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 3, a long-serving member of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO Executive Council, and a former Executive Vice President of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO Executive Council, among many other roles. 

On behalf of President Lynch, the team at the MA AFL-CIO, and our Executive Council, we are saddened by this loss on deeply personal levels as well as for our labor movement in New England. Chuck Raso has been a giant in the New England labor movement for decades and many of the benefits and gains that union workers have won here in Massachusetts, both in the Building Trades and across our movement, would not be possible without Chuck. We want to offer our deepest sympathies to the Raso family as well as our entire statewide labor family.
